Prof. Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako

Professor Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako is an accomplished economist, academic and policy expert with extensive experience in economic research, public policy and institutional capacity development. She is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Ghana Business School, where she has distinguished herself through excellence in teaching, research, consultancy and academic leadership.

With over fifteen years of professional experience spanning academia, international development and policy advisory, Prof. Gyeke-Dako has built an outstanding reputation in the fields of macroeconomics, monetary policy, financial inclusion, development finance, corporate governance and economic development. Her work has contributed significantly to shaping public policy, strengthening financial systems and advancing evidence-based decision-making across Ghana and the African continent.

Throughout her career, she has successfully led and contributed to numerous high-impact consultancy and research projects for leading international organisations, including the International Finance Corporation, UNICEF, USAID and the Mastercard Foundation. Her expertise has supported initiatives relating to financial inclusion, digital finance, gender diversity, youth employment, economic policy and sustainable development.

Prof. Gyeke-Dako is widely recognised for her analytical rigour, collaborative leadership and commitment to advancing inclusive and sustainable economic development. She continues to provide strategic insights on economic policy, financial sector development and governance, making her a valued adviser to both public and private sector institutions in Ghana and beyond.

Prof. Gyeke-Dako holds a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Economics and Financial Economics from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, as well as a BA in Economics and Geography from the University of Ghana.
