Alhaji Abdul Rauf Tanko Ibrahim

Alhaji Abdul Rauf Tanko Ibrahim is a distinguished business executive, project manager and public servant with extensive experience in business administration, agriculture, governance and political leadership. As the Chief Executive Officer of Angama Farms, a position he currently holds, he has provided strategic leadership and operational direction, spearheading initiatives that have enhanced productivity, sustainability and the adoption of modern farming techniques.

Prior to this, he served as the Managing Director of Tass Kalian Enterprise Limited from 1983 to 2016, where he successfully oversaw the company’s operations and drove its growth and profitability. Under his leadership, the company diversified its portfolio of projects and clientele, contributing significantly to its expansion and long-term success.

Alhaji Ibrahim has also distinguished himself in public service, having served three consecutive terms as the Member of Parliament for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency in the North East Region. During his tenure, he championed numerous development initiatives, including the construction of schools, roads and electrification projects, and played a pivotal role in the elevation of the constituency to district status.

As a Member of Parliament, he served on several Parliamentary Select Committees, including the Roads and Transport Committee, the Agriculture Committee, and the Judiciary Committee on Members Holding Offices of Profit, between 2005 and 2012. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Roads and Transport Committee from 2008 to 2012, contributing to policy formulation and the oversight of national road infrastructure projects.

Between 2013 and 2016, Alhaji Ibrahim served as Chairman of the National Hajj Board at the Office of the President, where he was widely commended for streamlining the Board’s operations and improving the coordination and management of pilgrimage logistics for Ghanaian Muslims. He currently serves, once again, as Chairman of the National Hajj Board, reflecting the confidence reposed in his leadership and management capabilities.

Alhaji Ibrahim possesses extensive experience in strategic leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement and community development. He is recognised for his commitment to transparency, accountability and sustainable national development.

He is also a polyglot with fluency in multiple languages including English, Hausa, Twi, Mamprusi, Dagbani, Moshie, Kasem and Buili enabling him to engage effectively with diverse communities across Ghana.

Alhaji Ibrahim is a product of the Navrongo Secondary School where he earned his A-Level Certificate between 1988 and 1989.
