The engagement builds on earlier bilateral discussions held during the recent state visit of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama to Zambia. During the visit, both countries committed to strengthening diplomatic relations, expanding trade and investment, and advancing cooperation under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). A

key highlight was the Ghana–Zambia Business Dialogue, co-chaired by the two Heads of State, which focused on promoting economic partnerships, particularly in digital and financial technology services.

In furtherance of these commitments, the Zambian delegation, led by Hon. Felix Mutati and comprising technology companies and innovators, is in Ghana to explore business opportunities, foster partnerships, and engage stakeholders within Ghana’s digital ecosystem. Discussions are centred on areas such as fintech, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and innovation-driven enterprise development.
