The celebration held on Sunday, 15th March 2026, focused on the theme “Empowered Consumers, Informed Choices,” aiming to inspire consumer confidence and strengthen their ability to navigate telecommunications services safely.

To commemorate the day, the Authority deployed various teams to selected churches across the country. These teams engaged congregants on complaints channels and how to report complaints, sharing insights on mobile money fraud (social engineering), and promoting consumer awareness of safeguards when using telecommunication services.

The celebration was also held in all seven (7) regions across the country where the Authority operates offices. Churches engaged in the regions included Sumbrungu Church of Pentecost – Bolgatanga, Prophetic Ark Chapel – Liberty Junction, Koforidua, St. Theodore Catholic Church – Barracks, Sunyani, Christ the King Methodist Church – Anaji, Takoradi, Assemblies of God Church – Yendi, Tamale, Mount Olives Presbyterian Church – Kumasi, and Salem E. The NCA urged consumers to stay vigilant against fraud and emphasised the importance of reporting incidents through the proper channels to protect themselves and others.

The celebration, which also coincided with the Authority’s 30th Anniversary celebration, highlighted its continued commitment to consumer protection and reflected the Authority’s efforts in ensuring broader awareness and participation of consumers in its 30th Anniversary celebrations.
