June 11, 2026:  The National Communications Authority (NCA) hosted a delegation of staff from the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations (MoCDTI) at the NCA Tower for an industry familiarisation and study visit aimed at enhancing understanding of the Authority’s regulatory functions and operations.

Welcoming the delegation, the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Nana Defie Badu, expressed her delight at hosting the Ministry’s staff and underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and its Agencies. She noted that as the NCA’s supervising Ministry, it was a step in the right direction for MoCDTI staff to undertake such visits to gain firsthand knowledge of the Authority’s operations.

According to her, the visit would foster stronger synergy, deepen institutional understanding, and enhance collaboration in the execution of the respective mandates of the Ministry and the Authority.

She described the Authority as “home,” emphasising the importance of the visit in exposing staff from various departments of the Ministry to the work undertaken by the NCA.

Ms. Adjasah stated that the visit was designed to help staff better understand the roles and responsibilities of the Authority, promote knowledge sharing, and strengthen working relationships between the Ministry and the NCA.

Staff of the Ministry were briefed on the NCA’s strong commitment to consumer protection and the various initiatives being implemented to safeguard the interests of consumers. Discussions highlighted the Authority’s consumer education and awareness programmes, complaint resolution mechanisms, efforts to combat fraud and unsolicited electronic communications, as well as measures aimed at promoting a safer and more secure communications environment.

The visit forms part of efforts by MoCDTI to expose its staff to the operational activities of agencies under its supervision and encourage greater collaboration across the communications and digital technology ecosystem.
