Mr. Bright Oduro-Nimo

Mr. Bright Oduro-Nimo is an audit and risk management professional with over two decades of progressive experience in internal audit management, enterprise risk management, financial reporting, and information systems auditing.

He currently serves as the Director of Internal Audit, where he provides strategic leadership for the Authority’s audit and compliance functions. In this role, he leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive audit strategy that strengthens governance systems, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Oduro-Nimo served as Acting Director of Internal Audit from 2016 to 2024, during which he successfully transformed the Internal Audit Unit into a Division. He led the first-ever Information Technology audit at the NCA, which resulted in the establishment of a robust IT governance framework and comprehensive risk management policy for the Authority. His leadership has been instrumental in promoting accountability, risk awareness, and corporate governance excellence across the organisation.

Before joining the NCA, he held senior audit positions in the manufacturing and agro-processing sectors, including at the Ghana Agro-Food Company Limited and Vlisco Ghana Group, where he oversaw operational audits, cost accounting, and financial control reforms.

Mr. Oduro-Nimo holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Northampton University, United Kingdom, and professional certifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), USA. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).
