Helios Towers Pays Courtesy Call on NCA’s Ag. Director General

February 4, 2025: The acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, has received a delegation from Helios Towers Ghana on a courtesy visit. The delegation visited to congratulate him on his appointment and to introduce the company’s new Managing Director, Mr. Kwaku Frimpong, to the NCA.

At the meeting, both the NCA and Helios Towers shared perspectives on the evolvement and impact of regulatory frameworks and telecommunications infrastructure in the industry. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration to streamline processes, ensure adherence to regulations and promote sustainable growth in the telecoms space.

Mr. Frimpong expressed enthusiasm about the prospects of aligning strategies with the NCA to effectively address industry challenges. He emphasised Helios Towers’ commitment to advancing the goals of the Regulator through continued investments in modern infrastructure and adherence to best practices in their service delivery.

In response, Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko said the courtesy call signifies a pivotal moment in fostering closer ties between Helios Towers and the NCA. He highlighted the Regulator’s role in fostering a conducive environment for innovation and investment in the telecommunications industry in Ghana. He went further to commend the company for its continued participation in regulatory initiatives as part of efforts to advance quality and accessible telecom service nationwide.

Rev. Ing. Fianko also used the opportunity to introduce the Authority’s newly appointed Deputy Director General for Technical Operations, Mr. Salifu Suleman to the delegation. He urged Helios Towers to extend their full cooperation and support in working with him as well.
