Nenyi George Andah

Nenyi George Andah, a Management Consultant with specialization in Marketing and Telecommunications, is the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency in Ghana’s Central. Region. He is passionate about what he does and loves to help people. For Nenyi George Andah, nothing is more fulfilling than being part of a team with similar interests, and an organization that values and respects its employees.

Educated at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry) and subsequently at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon, he comes with a cumulative wealth of experience, which he draws from active work at different levels of the telecommunications industry in various capacities.

His career was launched from the Advertising Agency, as a marketing communications specialist at MMRS Ogilvy, where he worked as an Account Director for a little over a year. From the Agency, he had a brief stint with Guinness Ghana Limited in January 1999 as Brands Manager for Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, subsequently migrating into the financial services sector, to join the SG-SSB Bank as Head of its new ‘Sika’ Card Centre. He held this position for three years, helping the bank to widen and strengthen the customer base of the financial card.

In May 2003, he was attracted once again to Guinness Ghana Breweries where, for over a period spanning nearly five years, he took up various key appointments, including Innovations Manager and Marketing Manager for the Stouts. From October 2006 to September 2007, he was appointed Marketing Director of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, a position whose attendant responsibilities he discharged with distinction over a one-year period before he set his sight on the more exciting challenges then emerging on the country’s telecommunications sector.

In February 2007, he joined Scancom Limited, a member of the MTN Group, as Chief Marketing Officer. It is notable that just a little over a year of entering the telecommunications industry, he was voted by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana) as the Marketing Practitioner of the Year, and again awarded the best Chief Marketing Officer with the MTN Group, further endorsing his capabilities as an exceptional player in the business of marketing. In October 2010, he moved on once again, accepting an offer from Bharti Airtel, Nigeria, where he served for a period as Chief Marketing Officer for Airtel’s Nigeria operation and led the team rebranding effort from Zain to Airtel.

The Board of Globacom appointed him as Chief Operating Officer of Glo Mobile Ghana Limited and was out-doored on 10th October, 2011. He led the Ghana team to successfully launch the Glo Mobile Ghana operation, acquiring record 1 million active subscribers within the first 100 days of launch. He become Regional Director Marketing Promotions for Globacom (Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic) in July 2012, a position he held until December 2013.

He was the Founder / CEO of Rudder Solutions from January 2014 till August 2015, where he shared his vast wealth of expertise with a broader section of the Ghanaian and Africa’s business communities. He is a founding member of OccupyGhana, playing a key strategic role in the programs driving good governance, fighting corruption and putting in place systems and structures to make Ghana work again. He took a backseat from leading strategy in Occupy Ghana operations in 2015.

He believed that the quality of leadership being experienced in Ghana was not what Ghana deserved and took a stand to get off the fence and got into frontline politics, being elected as the Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency in the 2016 general elections, and subsequently appointed as one of the two deputy ministers at the Ministry of Communications.
