NCA Recognised in 2 Categories At GITTA

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has won two awards at the just ended 9th Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA) held in Accra.

The Authority was recognised for *Promoting Sustainable Development in Telecom Sector* and the Director General, Joe Anokye was adjudged the *2019 Telecom Regulatory CEO of the Year*.

Mr. Anokye who received the awards from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on behalf of the Authority dedicated the awards to the Management and staff of the NCA, stating that the award given to him is not a singular honour but a recognition of the embodiment of work done by the Ministry of Communications, the NCA Board, NCA Team and key stakeholders who have been committed to ensuring that the communications industry in Ghana continue to improve.

He added that the NCA will continue working to encourage investment, protect stakeholders’ interests and facilitate universal access to quality communications services for national development.

This year, GITTA  recognised government institutions that have embraced digitization and created disruptive technologies for effective service delivery in the Public sector.
