Update – Notice of Service Disruption in Northern Ghana

September 26, 2026 – The National Communications Authority (NCA) is pleased to inform the public that voice and data services have been restored across the five Northern Regions and parts of the Oti Region, following the successful repair of the affected fibre infrastructure by the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) and the network operators.

The NCA commends the technical teams for the speed with which the repairs were carried out and thanks consumers in the affected areas for their patience and understanding during the disruption.

The Authority continues to monitor network performance across the country to ensure that service providers maintain the quality of service that consumers deserve.
