Spectrum Licensing Process – Receipt and Opening of Applications for Spectrum Licences in the 700MHz, 2.3GHz and 3GHz Mid Bands

August 27, 2026 – The National Communications Authority (NCA) wishes to inform the public and interested stakeholders that the deadline for the submission of applications under the Request for Applications for Spectrum Licences in the 700MHz, 2.3GHz and 3GHz Mid Bands for the Provision of Mobile Broadband Services, including 5G ended at 5:00 p.m. today.

At the close of the submission period, the NCA had received four (4) applications for spectrum licences.

The formal opening of Envelope A has subsequently been conducted in accordance with the published Selection and Award Procedure. Envelope B, containing the Best Price Offer, remains sealed.

The NCA emphasises that the opening of Envelope A is an administrative step in the licensing process and does not constitute an assessment or determination of the eligibility, compliance or completeness of any application.

Further updates on the licensing process will be communicated through the NCA’s official communication channels.
