Competition and Market Centre Pays Courtesy Call on the NCA

March 30, 2026 – The National Communications Authority (NCA) has hosted a delegation from the Competition and Markets Centre as part of a courtesy call to the Authority on 26th March, 2026, at the NCA Tower in Accra.

Deputy Director-General, Technical Operations at the NCA,
Mr. Suleman Salifu welcomes the delegation

The delegation, comprising Mr. David Bailey, Professor of Practice Law, and Peter Alexiadis, Visiting Professor (King’s College London) and Mr. Paul Kofi Datsa, Managing Director of the Competition and Markets Centre, were received by the Deputy Director-General, Technical Operations at the NCA, Mr. Suleman Salifu.

The courtesy call follows a successful one-day seminar on Ghana’s competition law and policy, which was held in Accra, on 25th March, 2026, in which the NCA actively participated. The seminar focused on competition economics, policy, and law and provided a platform for meaningful engagement on the development of a robust competition regime in Ghana.

The seminar was designed not only to educate participants but also to galvanise stakeholders, including lawmakers, regulators, the judiciary, and the business community, to engage with the draft competition framework and contribute to shaping a law grounded in sound principles from the outset.

The visit further provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and promote knowledge exchange between the NCA and leading global experts, as Ghana continues to advance its regulatory and competition landscape.
