NCA Holds Stakeholder Engagement to Review the Draft Value Added Services (VAS) Guidelines
February 10, 2026 – The National Communications Authority (NCA) has held a stakeholder engagement meeting at the NCA Tower to review comments received on the draft Value Added Services (VAS) Guidelines following the closure of public consultations on 4th February, 2026.
The public consultation, initiated pursuant to Section 27 of the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775), Section 5(h) of the NCA Act, 2008 (Act 769), and Section 4.1 of the National Telecommunications Policy (NTP) 2005, sought to provide clarity on the regulatory framework for Value Added Services in Ghana.
The consultative process brought together stakeholders and members of the public to submit their views and recommendations on the draft Guidelines to support the development of a transparent, efficient, and consumer-friendly VAS regulatory regime.

welcoming participants
At the meeting, the Head of the Regulatory Division, Mr. Kofi Ntim Yeboah Kordieh, welcomed participants and expressed appreciation for their active participation and timely submission of comments. He noted that the contributions received would play a key role in strengthening the Guidelines and ensuring that all relevant stakeholder perspectives are adequately reflected in the final document.
Representatives from Mobile Network Operators, Consumer Advocacy Groups, and the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications actively participated in reviewing the document, providing valuable insights to ensure the finalised document addresses all potential concerns.
In line with the above, the Authority will compile and integrate comments and suggestions from the engagement into the draft guidelines. This collaborative process will continue with a future stakeholder meeting to ensure the final document reflects stakeholders input.
