They also toured some of the Authority’s regulatory facilities that support the execution of the NCA’s mandate. The tools, which include the Broadcast Monitoring Centre (BMC), Network Monitoring System (NMS), and the NCA-CERT, all of which play pivotal roles in ensuring quality of service, cybersecurity and consumer protection.
Additionally, the interactive engagement provided students with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge, encouraged them to leverage this experience for advancing their career aspirations and allowed them to ask questions about how the NCA upholds its mandate in regulating and promoting a safe, competitive, and inclusive digital communications ecosystem. The visit also provided them the opportunity to tour these facilities and experience how they operate.
The NCA is committed to supporting educational initiatives and will continue to empower future industry professionals with relevant knowledge and practical exposure.
