Update 2: MNOs Begin Implementation of Directives on Improved Data Bundle Allocations
July 2, 2025 – Further to an earlier release from the National Communications Authority (NCA) regarding the implementation of Policy directives on improved data bundle allocation, the Authority wishes to update the public as follows:
- MTN has resolved the technical issues which delayed the rollout of the improved data bundles on their network.
- Consequently, all three Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) have successfully implemented the Policy directive from the Hon. Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations as follows:
- AT
- 10% increase in the data allocation across all existing data bundles.
- The GH₵400 bundle allocation has increased from 190GB to 236GB.
- MTN
- 15% increase in the data allocation for all existing data bundles.
- The GH₵399 data bundle, which offers 214GB of data has been reinstated.
- Telecel
- 10% increase in the data allocation across all existing data bundles.
- The GH₵400 bundle allocation has increased from 190GB to 250GB.
Consumers are requested to report any anomalies or challenges with their mobile data services to the Service Providers using their respective Customer Care lines.
