Hon. Alexander Gyan

Hon. Alexander Gyan is an accomplished individual with firm educational foundation and expertise in various disciplines including agriculture, legislative affairs and governance in general.

From 2020 to date, Hon. Gyan is a Member of Parliament for the Kintampo South Constituency where he, amongst others, advocates for the interests and concerns of his constituents. In addition, he is currently a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Government Assurance as well as the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications.

He previously served as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Kintampo South District Assembly from 2017 to 2022, which involved the responsibility of leading and coordinating local governance and development efforts in the said district.

Hon. Gyan gained practical experience in the field of education from 2005 to 2006. In respect of his contribution to academic research particularly in the health discipline, the Member of Parliament, in the year 2000, worked as a Field Supervisor at the Kintampo Health Research Centre where he, through the performance of various duties, contributed his quota to health-related research projects.
