Update 1 – NCA Notifies Public of MTN Service Disruption in Parts of the Greater Accra Region

March 28, 2026 – Further to the earlier press release issued on the MTN service disruption, the National Communications Authority (NCA) wishes to inform the general public and all consumers that services have now been fully restored in the affected parts of the Greater Accra Region.

The Authority has since been informed by MTN Ghana that all affected services have now been fully restored.

The NCA will maintain oversight of the situation and remain in contact with MTN Ghana to confirm that network performance remains stable following the restoration.

The Authority thanks consumers for their patience during the disruption and remains committed to ensuring reliable communication services.
