Dr. Mahama Seth Sayibu

Mahama Seth Sayibu is a trained journalist, a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department at the Department of Journalism at the University for Development Studies, Nyankpala. He has worked as a reporter at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Joy news, SIMLI radio and a host of other radio stations in Tamale in the Northern region. He has taught journalism at the International Institute of Journalism in Tamale and the University for Development Studies, Nyankpala where he currently lectures in Journalism, the Media and Propaganda Studies.

He has previously worked with the National Reconciliation Commission as Public Affairs Officer in charge of the Northern and Brong Ahafo regions.

He holds a Masters Degree in Journalism from Cardiff University and a PhD in Journalism from Bangor University, both in the United Kingdom. 

His study areas include Propaganda and the Media, Media history, Political Communication, Political Marketing and Media and Conflicts.

He has published in areas including Propaganda, Political Marketing, Media and Conflicts, Media Bias, and Objectivity in Journalism.

He likes to read, teach and play football.
