NCA – CSA Hosts Joint Stakeholder Sensitisation Programme on Cybersecurity
October 14, 2025: The National Communications Authority (NCA), in collaboration with the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), organised a Joint Stakeholder Sensitisation Programme on Tuesday, 14th October, 2025, at the NCA Tower in Accra.
The Programme, which was held as part of the activities marking the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month under the theme “Building a Safe, Informed, and Accountable Digital Space”, contributed to ongoing efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness and strengthen resilience within the telecommunications sector.

Delivering his welcome remarks, the Acting Deputy Director General in charge of Technical Operations at the NCA, Mr. Sulemana Salifu, highlighted the Authority’s initiatives to enhance cybersecurity readiness and resilience. He noted that the NCA has conducted a comprehensive risk assessment, developed cybersecurity policies, and drafted the Cyber and Information Security Directive (CISD) to strengthen both internal and sector-wide resilience.
He further stated that the NCA continues to work closely with key stakeholders including the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA), and the Bank of Ghana to promote a secure and trustworthy digital ecosystem.
Mr. Salifu also underscored the NCA’s proactive response to cybersecurity incidents as well as its contribution to regional and global cybersecurity initiatives. “Our goal is not only to raise awareness but also to promote a shared understanding of our collective responsibility in ensuring that Ghana’s cyberspace remains safe, secure, and resilient. Each of us has a role to play in building a trusted and secure digital ecosystem for all Ghanaians,” he stated.

A panel discussion themed “Building Cyber Resilience in the Telecom Sector: Lessons from Resilience and Preparedness for the Future”, featured Mr. Spilker Wiredu (NCA), Mr. Nii Clottey Oko Collison (NCA), Mr. Gerald Awadzi (CSA), Mr. Alex Tsotorvo (Cyberteq), and Josie Akomaa (Cyberteq). The panel emphasised that the complexities of today’s cyber threat landscape demand a united and coordinated response.

Mr. Prince Reggie Ankrah, Deputy Director of the Cyber Security Division at the NCA, noted that the engagement would explore critical areas such as best practices for protecting customer data and network infrastructure, as well as the collective responsibility in combating misinformation and promoting digital literacy. He emphasised that these discussions serve as a reminder that cyber resilience is not a one-time effort, but an ongoing commitment built on collaboration, awareness, and shared responsibility.
The NCA and CSA reaffirmed their joint commitment to fostering partnerships that promote a comprehensive, whole-of-society approach to cybersecurity ensuring a safer and more secure digital future for all.
