NCA Hosts LTA Delegation for Knowledge-Sharing Engagement

July 14, 2025. The National Communications Authority (NCA) has welcomed a delegation from the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) as part of a four (4) day study visit focused on regulatory best practices in the telecommunications sector.

Addressing the delegation, the Deputy Director General for Managerial Operations, Mrs Etta Mosore acknowledged the longstanding collaborative relationship between the two institutions. She emphasised the NCA’s readiness to share knowledge and experiences, stating, “We are always pleased to engage with our regional counterparts and offer insights into our regulatory frameworks and operational procedures.”

Also present at the session was the Deputy Director General for Technical Operations, Mr. Suleman Salifu, along with other members of the NCA’s management team, who participated in the discussions and offered technical support throughout the engagement.

The visit highlighted key areas of interest, including the NCA’s Type Approval process, Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring and spectrum management systems. Mrs. Etta Mosore noted that these systems are essential in ensuring consumer safety, protecting the integrity

of communication networks, and fostering a robust telecoms environment aligned with international standards.

Mr. Aboubacae S. Konneh, Senior Licensing Officer and Leader of the Delegation, expressed his delight at the opportunity to re-engage with the NCA as part of an ongoing collaborative relationship. He emphasised the value of exchanging ideas and fostering regulatory interaction between the two institutions and noted that the LTA looks forward to more of such engagements in the future.
