EY Ghana Pays Courtesy Call on NCA DG
March 12, 2025: A three-member delegation from accounting firm, EY Ghana, paid a courtesy call on the acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Fianko, at the NCA Tower on 12th March 2025. The visit was intended to congratulate Rev. Ing. Fianko on his promotion as Director General of the NCA and to also introduce EY Ghana to him.

Interacting with the team, the acting NCA Boss indicated that the Authority is looking forward to strengthening its operations through the automation of services and availing key services online. He said this was important to improve efficiency. Rev. Ing. Fianko added that among the technical priorities of the Authority is the enforcement of licensing conditions and a review of the Authority’s fees and charges which have remained unchanged for about a decade. Rev. Ing. Fianko expressed his gratitude for the visit and added that the Authority is willing to collaborate with relevant stakeholders and players to grow the industry.
“The Authority aims to enhance efficiency, migrate essential services online, and create an interactive digital platform for customer engagement in the next year. Additionally, efforts are underway to introduce flexible online payment mechanisms, allowing businesses and individuals to access services more seamlessly”, he stated.
The EY Ghana delegation which included Dr. Pamela des Bordes, Partner, Assurance; Michael Sackey, Partner, Consulting; and Alice Osei Okrah, Partner, Strategy and Transactions (SaT), presented their range of services, and indicated their preparedness to work with the NCA.
