University of Energy and Natural Resources Students Visit NCA for Industry Insights

March 7, 2025 – Ninety (90) Level 200 Information Technology (IT) students from the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Sunyani have visited the National Communications Authority (NCA) today in Accra. The visit was part of an educational tour aimed at acquainting themselves on how the IT industry operates and gaining insights into on-the-job experiences.

The students, led by their lecturer, Dr. Michael Opoku, were taken through series of presentations to abreast themselves with the mandate and operations of the NCA. They also had the opportunity of touring some of the Authority’s installations such as the Broadcasting Monitoring Centre, the NCA CERT and the Common Platform.

At the end of the tours, the students expressed their excitement about the visit, describing it as an eye-opening experience that has broadened their understanding of the technology industry beyond the classroom.
