National Communication Awards is not from National Communications Authority

28^th November, 2023: The National Communications Authority (NCA) wishes to issue a public notice regarding the National Communication Award, an award scheme which uses an abbreviation and name similar to that of the Authority, “NCA.”

The NCA categorically asserts that it holds no association, connection, or involvement in any capacity with the aforementioned award scheme. The resemblance in the name and abbreviation used by the award scheme is purely coincidental. It should not be construed as an endorsement, collaboration, or any form of partnership between the NCA and the organisers of the award scheme.

As an entity mandated to oversee and regulate the communications industry, the Authority is committed to promoting fair and sustainable competition, stimulating innovation, encouraging investment, protecting stakeholders’ interests, and facilitating universal access to quality communications services for national development.
