NCA Launches HR Manual

NCA Tower, Accra, 27th October, 2017 – The National Communications Authority has launched a comprehensive Human Resource manual designed to ensuring an efficient, timely and professional staff deliverables. The manual was also developed with a view of helping push the NCA’s vision of becoming a world class regulator.

Acting Head of HR at the NCA, Charles Wilson-Amoah, said the NCA considers staff as its most valued resource, adding that “when the human resource is knowledgeable, skillful and committed and is also knowledgeable on what their roles in an organization, the organizations they serve can easily attain and possibly surpass their targets”. Mr. Wilson-Amoah commended the HR team for their hard work in putting together a document that will lead to the overall growth of the NCA and the professional growth of all staff. He also paid tribute to the former HR Director of the NCA, Salome Odoom Lawer for the vision in initiating the process to put together the manual.

Acting Director General of the NCA, Joe Anokye admonished staff to “know the content of the manual just as Christians know their Bible and Muslims know their Qur’an”. He encouraged staff to use the guide in the performance of their duties whiles making the conscious efforts to deliver their best and be conversant with their roles, adding that “to work well, one needs to understand his or her role and how that role dovetails into the efforts of others in accomplishing the set targets and goals of the organization concerned”.
