Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications (PSCC) Pays Working Visit to the NCA
Members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications (PSCC) on Thursday, 6th December, 2018, paid a working visit to the National Communications Authority (NCA) in Accra. The PSCC, whose mandate is to oversee and examine matters relating to communications and the sustainability of its allied industries as a whole, called on the Authority to familiarise itself with its operations and further acquaint itself of developments in the communications industry.
Mr. Joe Anokye, Director General of NCA, who welcomed the delegation said he was pleased with the committee’s decision of apprising itself with the operations of the NCA and cited that the Authority is adhering to its mandate and putting in place various facilities to ensure the enforcement of regulations.
The committee was taken through a tour of some facilities the Authority has operationalized in 2018. These include the Conformance and Type Approval Laboratories, the NCA Computer Emergency Response Team (NCA-CERT), the Common Platform, the Communications Monitoring Centre, and the Broadcast Monitoring Centre.
