Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Licenses In The 2500 – 2690 MHZ Band
The NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY (“AUTHORITY’) invites applications from eligible Entities registered under the Ghana Companies Code, 1963, Act 179 for the grant of a license to establish, maintain and operate Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Services in the 2500MHz – 2690 MHz band.
BWA Consultation Process
In accordance with its mandate under the Electronic Communications Act, 2008, Act 775 and the National Telecommunications Policy 2005 (NTP’05), the Authority is seeking to award licenses for provision of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Licenses in the 2500 – 2690 MHz frequency band.

Update on BWA Licencing Process
Due to requests received from some prospective applicants for an extension of the deadline for the submission of applications and proposals for Broadband Wireless Access licenses in the 2500 – 2690 MHz band, the Authority has decided to grant a two –week extension. Therefore the deadline for the receipt of applications and proposals shall be 5pm on 30th June, 2010.

The National Communications Authority (NCA) hereby announces the successful conclusion of its selection process for the award of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) licenses in the 2500 – 2690 MHz band.
